Blue Pottery is a Turko-Persian art form now practiced in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The making of a Blue Pottery product is a handmade process and passes through certain stages to get the finished product.
Blue Pottery is a unique form of pottery which is the famous art of the Pink City Jaipur, Rajasthan.
It is made out of a similar frit material to Egyptian faience, is glazed and low-fired. No clay is used: the ‘dough’ for the pottery is prepared by mixing quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fullers Earth), borax, gum, and water.
